28. VVO Oberelbe-Marathon
The 28th VVO Oberelbe-Marathon is scheduled for 25 April 2027. The registration deadline is 11 April 2027. The current registration count is 2123. Late registrations are possible on 23 and 24 April 2027 at the BallsportARENA Dresden. A two-day marathon expo with start packet pickup is held in the BallsportARENA Dresden on 23 and 24 April 2027.
The event offers multiple race distances:
- SachsenEnergie Bambinilauf, 400 m, free, participant limit 250
- AOK Plus Minimarathon, 2.7 km, age limit from 7 years
- Sachsenmilch 5 km run, classing according to DLV
- schulz 10 km run, classing according to DLV
- Sparkassen half marathon, classing according to DLV
- VVO Marathon, classing according to DLV
Services for participants and companions include a chartered historic paddle steamer for companions from Königstein to Dresden, VVO combi ticket with free travel in the Oberelbe transport area for participants (except minimarathon and bambinis) where the start number serves as ticket, and a finish in the new Heinz-Steyer-Stadion. All distances receive finisher medals. Additional features include finish video available online, finisher SMS if a mobile number is provided, a transponder integrated in the start number, immediate finish certificates, ten music groups, ten refreshment stations, a free portion of pasta in the finish area for active participants except bambinis, and free non-alcoholic Fieldschlößchen Radler for active participants aged 16 and over.
