Event overview
The inaugural Races for the Oasis 5K & Fun Run takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, located in Druid Hill Park (1 Safari Place, Baltimore, MD 21202). The event program includes the following distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1M Fun Run/Walk
- Kids 6-13 5K
- Kids 6-13 1M
- Kids 5 & Under
- Virtual 5K
The 5K is a two-lap course that runs through zoo exhibits and will be professionally timed using RFID chip timing. The 1M is a single lap and is not chip timed.
Entry, pricing and logistics
Age eligibility is specified for each event: adult events list ages 14 to 99, kids events list ages 6 to 13, and a free category for children 5 and under (registration still requested). Adult and team pricing is shown in tiered rates by date; team registrations of four or more receive a $5 discount on adult registrations, applied once a fourth team member signs up. 5K and 1M participants aged 14 and over receive a race t-shirt with registration; shirts for children are available for purchase. The first 250 participants may reserve a complimentary zoo entrance bracelet valid on race day; additional discounted tickets can be purchased. Complimentary parking is available at the zoo entrance.
