Races for the Oasis 5K & Fun Run

Races for the Oasis 5K & Fun Run takes place at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore in Druid Hill Park on April 10, 2027. The event offers multiple in-person distances and a virtual option, with registration opening May 30, 2026.

The 5K race is professionally timed using RFID chip timing and runs two laps through the zoo exhibits. The 1M and some youth events are untimed and follow a single lap route. Timing services are provided by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC. Virtual entries are available as a separate option.

Pricing follows advance tiers for adults and children, with lower fees available before late registration and higher fees on later dates. Children 5 and under have free registration; children 6 to 13 have reduced fees. Teams of four or more receive a five dollar discount on adult registrations once the team reaches four members; earlier registrants receive a refund when the team discount is applied.

The first 250 participants may receive a complimentary Day at the Zoo entrance bracelet valid on race day. Complimentary parking is available at the zoo entrance. T-shirts are included for 14 and over 5K and 1M participants; youth shirts may be purchased during registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
