Event details
The Races for the Oasis 5K & Fun Run takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, in Druid Hill Park. Event races include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1M Fun Run/Walk
- Kids 6-13 5K
- Kids 6-13 1M
- Kids 5 & Under
- Virtual 5K
The 5K will be run as two laps through zoo exhibits and will use RFID chip timing. The 1M is a single lap and will not be chip timed. Timing services are provided by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC.
Registration, fees and race logistics
General adult registration applies to ages 14 and over; reduced registration applies to ages 6 to 13; children 5 and under are free but should be registered. Team members (four or more) receive a $5.00 discount on adult registration once the fourth person signs up; earlier registrants will receive the discount refunded when the team reaches four members.
T-shirts are included for participants aged 14 and over in the 5K and 1M. Children 6 to 13 pay a reduced fee and may purchase shirts during registration; children 5 and under may purchase a shirt. The first 250 participants may reserve a complimentary zoo admission valid on race day only; additional discounted tickets will be available for purchase. Complimentary parking is available at the zoo entrance. Packet pickup will occur at the Schafer Pavilion near the zoo entrance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
