Event overview
The 55th Annual Nova Scotia Marathon takes place in Barrington Passage, Nova Scotia on July 19, 2026. The event offers multiple race options along a rural, coastal route that is described as basically flat with some rolling hills. The full marathon is a Boston Qualifier and the event is part of the Run Nova Scotia series; the half marathon and 10 km are listed in the Run Nova Scotia Performance Series. Logistics and race details
Race kit pick up is required and will be at the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena. Runners receive a finishers medal; a medal-only registration is available. Shirt orders are guaranteed if placed by April 15. Cancellations receive a full refund (less admin fees) until April 15; after that date participants may switch to the virtual option under the event’s terms.
Aid stations are located approximately every 3 kilometres, providing water and Gatorade, and first aid is available. Strollers, dogs, and other pets are not permitted on the course. Age minimums, per Athletics Canada guidelines, are 12+ for 6 km, 14+ for 10 km, 16+ for 21.1 km, and 18+ for 42.2 km. On-site camping is offered with 50 tent sites and 20 RV sites.
