Nova Scotia Marathon : 55th Annual (2026)
The event takes place in Barrington Passage, Nova Scotia, centered on the Sherose Island recreation complex and the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena. The 2026 edition marks the 55th running and offers multiple distances along the southwest shore.

The course uses secondary rural roads along the coastline. It is described as basically flat with some rolling hills, narrow shoulders and blind crests; strollers and pets are prohibited for safety reasons. The full marathon is a Boston Qualifier and the event is part of the Run Nova Scotia Road Race Series.
Support and services: Aid stations are located approximately every 3 kilometres and supply water and Gatorade; first aid and volunteers are available. Route support and timing services are provided for a six-hour period on race day. A shuttle is planned to return runners from the finish area to the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena.
Logistics and extras: Race kit pick up is required in advance at the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena and is available the day before the main races. Virtual entries are offered for all distances and include a bib, shirt and medal with shipping options. Youth runs (350 m and 700 m) are held separately and are not chip timed.
