Event overview
The 55th Annual Nova Scotia Marathon is scheduled for July 19, 2026 in Barrington Passage, Nova Scotia. The event offers multiple in-person distances along the coastline and a virtual option. The full marathon is a Boston Qualifying race and is certified (Certification # NS-2019-024-BDC). The half marathon is certified (Certification # NS-2010-068-BDC). The 10 km and 6 km distances are not certified. The event is part of the Run Nova Scotia series; the half and 10 km are included in the Run Nova Scotia Performance Series.

Race and logistics
The course runs on a secondary rural road with coastal views and some rolling hills, described as basically flat. Strollers and pets are prohibited on the route. Aid stations are located approximately every 3 kilometres, offering water and Gatorade; first aid is available. Race kit pick up is held at the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena on July 18. Change rooms, washrooms and showers are available at the arena. A shuttle service will return runners from the finish area to the arena. Camping on site is offered with 50 tent sites and 20 RV sites.
