Northfield Rotary Turkey Trot
The Northfield Rotary Turkey Trot is a chip-timed 5K run or walk held in Northfield, Minnesota. The course winds through the town’s northeast neighborhoods, running along Spring Creek Road and returning toward the Weitz Center via Woodley, Seventh Street, Winona and Third.
The event is organized as an annual Thanksgiving tradition and marks its 25th edition. It regularly draws about 1,000 participants who run or walk to support Rotary’s service work. Funds raised benefit the club’s youth exchange program, polio eradication efforts, and other local and international service projects.
Registration is available online and in person through the day of the event. The entry fee is $30. Participants who register by Friday, November 7 are guaranteed a commemorative long-sleeve Turkey Trot T-shirt; shirts remain available while supplies last. There is also a “free-range” option for participants who wish to stage their own 5K elsewhere on Thanksgiving Day and share a photo or video.
