Northern Lights 5K COLOR Glow Run - Ely, MN
The event is a community 5K color glow run held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at the Ely Community HUB in Ely, MN. It is presented as a fundraiser for Northern Lights Clubhouse, with 100% of registration revenue supporting Clubhouse programs that offer social, educational, artistic, health, nutrition, and transportation assistance for adults living with mental health challenges.
All registered participants receive a glow giveaway item to wear during the run. Race shirts are available for purchase in limited quantities for $25 in sizes S through XL. The course passes through multiple glow zones as the sun sets and participants are encouraged to wear glow gear. The event is non-timed, though a large digital clock will be available at the finish for individuals who wish to record their own time.
The event program includes a new Glow Fest held before the 5K at the Ely Community HUB. Glow Fest is described as a family-friendly start and finish line festival with food trucks, kids activities, and live music. The run welcomes people of all ages and abilities; wheelchairs and strollers are explicitly permitted. Dogs, bikes, and scooters are not allowed on the course.
Standard registration prices are $30 for adults, $20 for students, and $10 for youth; higher race day prices are also offered. There is no refund after August 31, 2026. Prizes are planned for top finishers, most creative costumes, and best glow. The event notes that if price is a barrier, participants may register at the student or youth price without inquiry.
