Event overview
The event is a 5K color glow run held in Ely, MN at Whiteside Park. The course is paved, has street lights, and includes a few hills. The race is chip timed; participants may run, walk, or use wheelchairs. Dogs, bicycles, and scooters are not allowed on the course. All registered participants receive a glow giveaway item to wear during the event.
Logistics and fees
Registration fees listed for standard entry are $30 for adults, $20 for students, and $10 for youth. Race day fees are higher: $35 for adults, $25 for students, and $15 for youth. Shirts are offered for sale on race day for $25 each in sizes S-XL, with limited quantities. The organizer states there are no refunds after August 31, 2025. Prizes are awarded to top race finishers and for categories such as most creative costumes and best glow. One hundred percent of registration revenue supports the Northern Lights Clubhouse, a local program providing social, educational, artistic, health, nutrition, and transportation assistance for people experiencing mental health challenges.
