Northern Lights 5K COLOR Glow Run - Ely, MN
The Northern Lights 5K COLOR Glow Run is a fundraising 5K event held on September 25, 2026 at Whiteside Park in Ely, MN. The event raises funds for the Northern Lights Clubhouse; 100% of registration fees support the clubhouse’s programs.
All registered participants receive a glow giveaway item to wear during the run. Shirts are available for purchase during packet pickup on race day for $25 in sizes S to XL, with limited quantities. Regular registration prices are $30 for adults, $20 for students, and $10 for youth; race day prices are higher. Refunds are not offered after August 31, 2026.
The course is paved, includes street lighting and a few hills, and passes through several glow zones. The event is open to participants of all ages and mobility; wheelchairs and families with strollers are welcome. Dogs, bicycles and scooters are not permitted. The event is organized as a non-time event, but a large digital clock will be available at the finish for participants who want to record their own time.
Prizes are awarded for top race finishers, most creative costumes, and best glow. The Northern Lights Clubhouse provides social, educational and artistic opportunities as well as health, nutrition and transportation assistance for people living with mental health challenges in the Ely area.
