The course has about 550 feet of elevation gain and loss per 15.5 mile loop. Specific aid locations include the main start and finish station at mile 15.5, Mandy's station at miles 4.4 and 11.1, and a Quarry water station at mile 7.8. Road and crew access and drop bag options vary by station; drop bag transport to the Twin Lakes aid station is available and drop bags may be left at the start finish area.

Shuttle parking is provided for some distances at Twin Lakes Community Activity Center with shuttles to the start line; 52 mile and 100K participants park at the North Park Unit. All participants must carry a personal water carrying system because the race is a no cup event. For nighttime sections of the 100K and 52 mile events a headlamp and an emergency blanket are required. Ruck events have weight rules based on competitor weight and allow ruck sacks or vests.
