North Shore Distance Classic
The North Shore Distance Classic is held on the north shore of Lake Macbride in Solon, IA. The event offers two distances:
- 13.1 miles (half marathon)
- 4 miles
All runners who complete the half marathon receive a finisher's medal. Prizes are awarded for first, second, and third overall men and women in both the 4-mile and half marathon fields.
Packet pickup is available on race day only at the Main Lodge from 7:30 to 8:30am. There is no race day registration; distance changes must be reported by 8am. Registration is handled through Race Roster, and Corridor Running members may enter their Q-Code in the promo code field.
Organizers provide course approximations for both distances. The 2026 race shirt uses a 1990s throwback theme referencing Billabong. Volunteers are requested to assist with feeding runners, monitoring the course, and sweeping flags. Results are posted online after the race.
