North Shore Distance Classic
The North Shore Distance Classic is a road and trail event held on the North Shore of Lake Macbride in Solon, IA on Oct. 24, 2026. The event offers two course options that follow the lakeshore and nearby trails.
Distances
- 13.1 (half marathon)
- 4 mile
All runners who complete their race receive a finisher's medal. Prizes are awarded to the first, second, and third overall men and women in both the 4 mile and the half marathon. Packet pickup is available race day only at the Main Lodge, and there is no race day registration. Distance changes must be reported by 8am on race day. Organizers provide course approximations for both the 4 mile and the half marathon.
Registration is managed through Race Roster; Corridor Running members may enter their Q-Code (membership number) in the Promo Code field during registration. Volunteer roles listed for race day include feeding runners, monitoring the course, and sweeping the trail; organizers invite volunteers to assist in those roles. No Corridor Running races are USATF certified. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
