North Shore Distance Classic
The North Shore Distance Classic takes place on Oct. 24, 2026 on the North Shore of Lake Macbride in Solon, IA. The event offers two run distances along trails beside the lake and surrounding parkland.
Distances
- 13.1 miles (half marathon)
- 4 miles
All finishers of the half marathon receive a finishers' medal. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male and female in both the 4 mile and the half marathon categories.
Registration is handled through the Race Roster platform. Corridor Running members enter their Q-Code, or membership number, in the Promo Code field. There is no race day registration. Packet pickup is on race day only at the Main Lodge from 7:30 to 8:30 am. Distance changes must be reported by 8 am.
Course approximations are provided for the 4 mile and half marathon routes. Volunteers are used on race day to support aid stations, monitor the course, and sweep the trail after the event. The organizing club notes that Corridor Running events are not USATF certified. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
