About the race
The North Shore Distance Classic is a road race held on the north shore of Lake Macbride in Solon, Iowa on October 24, 2026. The event takes place at Lake MacBride Rd NE, Solon, IA 52333.
The event offers these distances:
- 13.1 mile half marathon
- 4 mile run/walk
Registration is open through October 22, 2026 and fees vary by registration period. Corridor Running members are eligible for a $3 registration discount. There is no race day registration. Packet pickup is race day only at the Main Lodge from 7:30 to 8:30 am. Distance changes must be reported by 8:00 am on race day. Long sleeve shirts are available for an extra cost; shirts are not guaranteed for registrations made after October 10.
Awards and finish recognition include a finishers medal for all half marathon finishers, prizes for the overall male and female winners in both the 4 mile and the half marathon, and age group medals for 1st through 3rd overall male and female in each of those distances.
