North London Dirt RUN
North London Dirt RUN is an all-surface running event that features a loop route starting from Leyton in East London. The main route covers 25 km (about 14.5 miles), described as a half marathon plus, and mixes canal paths, woodland dirt tracks and suburban side streets.
The event is not a race. There will be run leaders at different paces and space for participants to follow a GPS route independently. The route is a loop from Leyton; Lee Bridge and Clapton Station are reported as about 20 minutes away on foot from the venue. Bike parking is available near Portal HQ.
On the day Kickback coffee will be brewed by MiiR. Mount to Coast will provide demo shoes on a first-come, first-served basis. A halfway energy stop staffed by OTE will offer flask refills and gels or bars. Partners involved include Portal (the host venue), Benchmark, Mount to Coast, OTE sport nutrition and Camino Ultra.
After the run participants return to Portal HQ to view kit from partners and meet others in the community. The event provides an event goodie-bag from Mount to Coast and MiiR. Tickets are non-refundable and the event’s proceeds are stated to support the Hackney Foodbank. The event notes an age minimum of 16 and an approximate duration of six hours.
