Normanby Hall Adventure Race
The Normanby Hall Adventure Race takes place at Normanby Hall Country Park on 4 April 2027. The event returns for its 12th year and uses the park's cross country horse course with obstacles such as water, mud, sand, crawl nets and horse jumps, plus small hills and occasional swampy sections. Course layout can vary depending on weather and how the pony club sets the course.
Available distances and formats:
- 5 km wave, ages 12 and up, price £22.50, capacity 200
- 10 km wave, ages 16 and up, price £24.50, capacity 300
- Junior Bale Jumper, ages 4 to 11, price £7.00, capacity 100
There is a combined option to do both the 5 km and 10 km for £41; this entry includes a special trophy and has a capacity of 50 for double entries. Entrants receive park entry for the day as part of their fee. All finishers get a cake and a medal; event t shirts are optional and sold separately, with profits used to support charity places, donations, and community activities.
The event names Hope House Scunthorpe as its charity partner for 2027 and also supports the Scunthorpe & District Pony Club Charity. Junior entries are prebook only and no entries are available on the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
