Normanby Hall Adventure Race
The Normanby Hall Adventure Race is an obstacle run held at Normanby Hall Country Park. The 2026 edition will be its 11th year. The event offers two main distances: a 5 km option and a 10 km option.
The course uses a cross-country horse course, featuring natural and built obstacles. These can include sections with water, mud, sand, crawl nets, and horse jumps. The condition of the course can vary depending on the weather and the layout by the local pony club.
Every participant receives a cake and a medal at the finish. An optional event t-shirt is available for purchase, with the design changing annually. Profits from clothing sales support charity partners, free coaching sessions, and community initiatives.
A separate, non-competitive junior event is available for children aged 4 to 11.
The event also directly sponsors the Scunthorpe & District Pony Club Charity, with a donation supporting the upkeep of the horse course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
