Noodle Run 5K & 1/2 Mile Fun Run
The Noodle Run 5K & 1/2 Mile Fun Run is an evening athletic event held at Fireman's Park in McAllen. The event originated from the annual Spaghetti Supper and supports the Faith Builds the Future Capital Campaign. These funds are used for the renovation of the St. John’s Episcopal Church & School campus, including the modernization of the South Building and various outdoor spaces.
Participants can choose between two chip-timed distances:
- 0.5 Miles: A fun run and walk designed for children from newborn up to 13 years old.
- 3.1 Miles (5K): A run and walk open to participants of all ages.
The 3.1 Miles 5K race includes a race shirt for those who register by the April 5th deadline. All participants in both distances receive a finisher medal and a swag bag. Age group awards are presented for the top three finishers in several categories. For the shorter distance, categories range from under 3 to 13 years old. For the 5K, categories span from 19 & Under up to 70 & Over.
Packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the race at Parry’s Pizza in Pharr. During the pickup window, a portion of the restaurant's proceeds is donated to the campus renovation campaign. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
