Safari Runs at NOGAWILD
The NOGAWILD Safari Run is an event held at North Georgia Wildlife Park featuring on-site and virtual options. An upcoming race is listed for September 11, 2027. Net proceeds from the event benefit Creation Encounters.
The primary on-site route is an all-terrain 5k that travels through the Safari Park and surrounding woods. The course surface includes gravel, asphalt, dirt, and mulch. The 5k option totals about three miles and includes two loops through the Safari Park. Woods can be bypassed in favor of an extra loop around the park. There are two small water crossings with pavers or boards in place, and one water station that is passed at about mile 1 and again at mile 2. Participants are asked to remain on designated roads and paths and not go up to exhibits or fences for safety.
Animals visible along the course include capybaras, Scottish Highland cows, camels, zebras, and other park animals. A Scottish Highland cow meet and greet will be available with animals on lead, and selected animal ambassadors will be available to interact after the event.
Included items and options: a handmade pottery medallion, a raffle ticket, and the Scottish Highland cow meet and greet. Safari Run themed t-shirts are available to pre-order during registration before Tuesday, September 1, to help ensure preferred sizes; extras may be limited on the day of the run.
