Night of Miles : Texas A&M Corpus Christi
Night of Miles is an evening track event held in conjunction with Endurance Fest at Dr. Jack Dugan Family Soccer and Track Stadium in Corpus Christi on Saturday, June 6. The meet features multiple seeded heats, an invitational final, and a special Exhibition Elimination Mile.
The evening includes a live DJ, a BBQ truck, a snack truck, and an alcoholic beverage truck for attendees 21 and older. Heats are seeded based on estimated finishing times; entrants should provide an estimated time on the registration form to ensure appropriate placement. At the conclusion of the regular heats there is a separate invitational section limited to 15 men and 15 women, with a $200 award to the winner of each section.
The Exhibition Elimination Mile follows an elimination format: after each lap the last runner is removed from contention, and elimination continues each lap until a final lap determines the winner. The event description notes a high energy racing environment and opportunities for personal best performances.
Registration is tiered by date. Early registration at $20 ends May 16; registrations completed by May 16 receive a free event shirt. Early registration from May 17 through June 5 is $25. Late and same day registration is $35. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
