Event Overview
The Parkersburg News and Sentinel Half Marathon and Two Mile Race takes place in downtown Parkersburg, West Virginia. This event features the RRCA West Virginia State Championship for both the half marathon and the two-mile distance. The half marathon course follows a rolling route that moves from the city into scenic surrounding areas before looping back into the commercial district. The finish line is located on Market Street, where spectators gather before the start of the Parkersburg Homecoming Festival Parade.

Participant Amenities
Half marathon participants receive a technical shirt, access to a pre-race pasta dinner, a finisher's medal, and a post-race pizza luncheon. Runners who participate in both the Ogden Newspaper Half Marathon and the Parkersburg News and Sentinel Half Marathon are eligible for a special technical shirt if pre-registered by the designated deadline. Two-mile participants receive a T-shirt and have the option to compete on company, family, or school teams where the scores are determined by the top four fastest members.
