Event details
The event takes place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in Parkersburg, WV. The half marathon starts in downtown Parkersburg and follows a rolling course that goes out of the city into surrounding areas before returning to the commercial district. The half marathon finishes on Market Street prior to the Parkersburg Homecoming Festival Parade. The two mile race starts at Third and Juliana streets at the Towne Square Parking Garage and finishes at Sixth and Market streets.
The half marathon is the RRCA West Virginia State Championship; the two mile race is the RRCA West Virginia Championship. Entry fees listed are $50 for half marathon events (price increases after January 31, 2026) and $25 for two mile events (price increases after May 31, 2026). All half marathon participants receive a tech shirt, a pre-race pasta dinner, a finisher medal, and a post-race pizza luncheon. All two mile participants receive a T-shirt.
Packet pickup is available the day before and on race day at the Parkersburg Municipal Building, 1 Government Square. Awards for the two mile are scheduled at Bicentennial Park; half marathon awards are at St. Francis Xavier Parish Center. Company, family, and school teams are available for the two mile run; team score is determined by the top four fastest members. Completing this half marathon plus the Odgen Newspaper Half Marathon qualifies participants for a special tech shirt if preregistered by August 1.
