New Path Back to School 5K
The New Path Back to School 5K is an athletic event held at Russell Middle School in Winder, Georgia. Organized to coincide with the beginning of the academic year, the event features both a physical race and a remote participation option to accommodate different preferences. The physical race takes place at 364 W. Candler Street, while the virtual component allows participants to complete the distance from any location.
The primary objective of the race is to generate funds for New Path's Weekend Food Program. This initiative focuses on addressing food insecurity among students within Barrow County. The program currently delivers more than 450 food bags every week to 17 different schools and educational programs in the local area. All proceeds from the race registration fees are directed toward supporting students in need within the Barrow County School system.
