NE MS Line of Duty Memorial Race
The event is a community remembrance held in Amory, Mississippi during National Police Week that centers on a 5K memorial run and related activities. The 5K course travels through the heart of Amory and passes memorial displays honoring those who lost their lives in the line of duty. The main event is open to walkers and runners of all ages and fitness levels.
Additional event options include a quarter mile interactive Be the Badge Challenge around Frisco Park and a virtual 5K option. The Be the Badge Challenge is an untimed, participation focused course that includes specific movements such as air squats, pushups, jumping jacks, burpees, running between corners, and a farmer’s carry to the finish. Completion certificates are provided for that challenge, and 5K registrants may join the challenge at no additional cost.
Proceeds from the event support memorial efforts and fund scholarships to help officers from departments with limited resources attend survival and advanced training classes at the Monroe County Training Center.
