NE MS Line of Duty Memorial Race
The Northeast Mississippi Line of Duty Memorial Race is a community event held in Amory, Mississippi during National Police Week (May 16–23, 2026). It honors those who lost their lives in the line of duty and brings together runners, walkers, families, and supporters for remembrance and reflection.
The main event is a community 5K held through the heart of Amory, passing memorial displays that honor fallen officers. The course is open to all ages and fitness levels. Proceeds support memorial efforts and provide scholarships for officers from departments with limited resources to attend survival and advanced training classes at the Monroe County Training Center.
Awards will be given to top finishers in multiple age groups for both men and women, and overall male and female winners will also be recognized.
Additional options include a quarter mile Be the Badge challenge around Frisco Park. That interactive course includes stations such as 25 air squats, 25 pushups, 25 jumping jacks, 10 burpees, and a final farmer’s carry. The challenge is not timed, completion certificates are provided, and it is designed for participation and experience rather than competition. Registered 5K participants may join the challenge at no additional cost.
A virtual 5K option allows participants to run the distance anywhere and receive a shirt. There is also a T shirt orders only option. The event location is 105 2nd Ave S, Amory, MS 38821. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
