NAMI Rockland 5K Run / Walk for Mental Wellness 2026
The event is a 5K Run / Walk taking place on November 1, 2026, at 299 Rockland Lake Rd., Valley Cottage, NY 10989. It is organized to raise money for local programs and services that promote mental health awareness and work to end stigma. The event will be held rain or shine.
Registration opens April 8, 2026, and closes on November 1, 2026. The standard registration fee is $30 for both runners and walkers; Race Day registration is $35. Sponsorship packages are available for corporations, large groups, or individuals, and donors may underwrite the attendance of those in need.
The event will include fundraising activities such as a 50-50 and raffles; cash will be accepted for those activities. NAMI Rockland is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and describes its work as educating, supporting, advocating, listening, and leading to improve the lives of people with mental illness and their loved ones.
NAMI Rockland offers free community resources including support groups, a HelpLine, and educational workshops. It provides presentations titled In Our Own Voice, which give a personal perspective on mental health conditions in 40, 60, or 90 minute formats, and Ending the Silence, a presentation that helps middle and high school aged youth learn warning signs and next steps.
