Namaqua Quest 3 Day Trail Run
The Namaqua Quest is a three day trail running stage race held in Namakwa in the Northern Cape, South Africa. The event takes place over three distinct areas around Springbok and Okiep and uses Okiep Country Hotel as the race village.
Participants run a different stage each day:
- Day 1: Jakkalswater, 11.5 km
- Day 2: Goegap Nature Reserve, 13.5 km
- Day 3: Copper Mountain Trail (Okiep), 13 km
Each evening meals and a slideshow are hosted at the race village. Lunch is included at the finish of Day 1 and Day 2, and a prize giving lunch is provided on Day 3. The entry package includes route permissions and permits, Goegap entry permits, well stocked waterpoints on route, Cederberg Brewery finisher beer each day, professional photographs and evening slideshows, medical assistance, finishers medals, event attire and a goodie bag.
Logistics and rules noted by the organiser include a limit of 200 entries, an entry fee for the three day stage race of R5,950, substitutions allowed, and a payment plan option. There are two water stations placed each day. A comprehensive EMS and a full medical team are present at the event with safety and route briefings before each stage.
