Nairn Triathlon Festival : 11 July 2026
The Nairn Triathlon Festival is organised by Triathlon Inverness with support from Triathlon Scotland. Events start with a sea swim from the east beach, followed by bike legs through Nairnshire countryside and run sections with views over the Moray Firth. The event uses volunteers for marshaling and operates multiple race formats across the day.
Several race options are offered. Morning triathlon events take place at high tide and afternoon sessions host TriStar duathlons for children aged 8 to 14. Cycling helmets are compulsory and wetsuits are expected to be mandatory unless water temperature is unusually high. Waiting lists operate for all events up to 30 June. Paratriathlon entries are accepted.
Practical notes include a requirement for a valid home nation race licence or purchase of a British Triathlon race pass, priced at £2 for participants aged 24 and under and £8 for those 25 and over. Withdrawals by 13 June 2026 may receive a 75% refund at the organiser's discretion minus fees; withdrawals after that date are not refundable. Entry transfers via Entrycentral are permitted and deferral to next year is not available. A charge applies for lost timing chips. The event location is shown as Maggot Car Park, Riverside Ct, Nairn IV12 5DE. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
