Nairn Triathlon Festival
The Nairn Triathlon Festival is organised by Triathlon Inverness with support from Triathlon Scotland and takes place on 11 July 2026 in Nairn. Events start with an open water sea swim from the east beach, followed by road cycling through the Nairnshire countryside and finishing runs along the beach front with views over the Moray Firth. The event uses volunteer marshals for on-course support and expects wetsuits to be compulsory unless water temperature is unusually high.
A range of races is offered for adults and children, and entries include waiting lists for some events. Participants who are not members of a British Triathlon home nation must purchase a race pass; costs are listed as £2 for those aged 24 and under and £8 for those 25 and over. Withdrawals notified by 13 June 2026 may receive a 75 percent refund at the organiser’s discretion minus service fees. Transfers to another competitor are possible via EntryCentral and deferral to the following year is not available. There is a charge for lost timing chips and paratriathlon categories are accepted.

- Standard Triathlon: Swim 1500m, Cycle 36km, Run 10km. Age 18+
- Sprint Triathlon: Swim 750m, Cycle 20km, Run 5km. Age 16+
- Super Sprint Triathlon: Swim 400m, Cycle 10km, Run 3km. Age 15+
- TriStar Start Duathlon: Run 400m, Cycle 1km, Run 200m. Age 8
- TriStar 1 Duathlon: Run 1.2km, Cycle 2km, Run 400m. Age 9-10
- TriStar 2 Duathlon: Run 1.6km, Cycle 3km, Run 600m. Age 11-12
- TriStar 3 Duathlon: Run 2km, Cycle 4km, Run 800m. Age 13-14
