My Fastest Mile - Sidney, NY
My Fastest Mile is a measured, all-downhill one mile held on West Main Street in Sidney, NY. The course is accurately measured with a calibrated distance wheel and uses professional timing. Runners depart in small waves, with wave assignments issued at packet pick-up. Parking is located at the finish area near Steiner Road and Sidney Plaza, and a shuttle transports participants to the start at the top of the hill. T-shirts are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The event includes multiple competitive categories: an Elite Division with prize money for top men and women, an Open Division with age-group awards, and a kids fun run where every participant receives a prize. Elite Division prize money is listed for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. Finish-area amenities include food trucks, local vendors, and music.
