Event Overview
The Muscogee Nation Festival 5K takes place in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, as part of the wider festival celebrations. The event features an in-person competitive race, a fun run, and a virtual participation option. Participants gather at the Muscogee Nation Capital Complex for the physical events.
Race Options
Participants can choose between different race formats:
- 5 Miles (In-person race)
- Fun Run and Walk (In-person)
- Virtual 5K (Includes mailed tee and medal)
The in-person 5 Miles course is timed by Tatur Racing. While pre-registration is available online or via mail, race day registration is also permitted for the competitive race and the fun run/walk.
Recognition and Amenities
Cash prizes of $250 are awarded to the overall male and female winners in the 5 Miles race. Additional awards are presented to the first, second, and third-place finishers in various age divisions for both men and women.
The first 350 individuals to register for the in-person race receive a commemorative tech t-shirt. For those participating in the virtual event, a commemorative tech tee and a medal are mailed to the registrant. Participation in the virtual event is limited to 100 entries. Packet pick-up is available the day before the race at the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Mound Building in the east lobby. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
