MU DPT Run/Walk for Life 5K
The 28th Annual MU DPT Run/Walk for Life is a community 5K held in Columbia, MO on October 17, 2026. The event is open to students, alumni, families, and the public; walkers and runners are welcome. The entry fee is $25.00.
The event honors the lives of two former DPT students and raises funds for the Student Physical Therapy Organization (SPTO). Proceeds support student participation in local and national physical therapy conferences, community service activities, and SPTO administrative needs.
Check-in is located at Clark Hall next to the playground at 701 S. Providence Rd. The course uses the MKT Trail and starts and ends at the MKT Plaza at 501 S. Providence Rd. The route follows an out-and-back layout with a marked turnaround. A hydration station will be available at the start and finish area. Post-race food and activities are planned.
T-shirt pickup is available at Clark Hall on October 16 and on race day at Clark Hall before the event. Registrations made by October 5 are guaranteed a t-shirt. After that date registration continues at a discounted rate but t-shirts will not be included. Registration opens August 17 and closes October 16.
