Logistics, kit and rules
The organiser provides competitor tracking devices with an SOS function and issues route maps and GPX files to entrants before the race. There are preset cut-offs along the route based on a minimum average speed of 4.0 mph; competitors who fall below this requirement may be withdrawn. Mandatory kit includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, route maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid and emergency food. Entry fees are listed as £90 for standard entry and £155 for the Plus Race Package; all fees are non-refundable. An optional personal cancellation insurance and a defer option (fee applies) are offered at booking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
