MTC Boggle
The MTC Boggle is a single-day ultra marathon covering a total distance of 39.4 miles. The point-to-point course starts at the Tudor House Hotel in Tewkesbury and concludes at the Travelodge Bristol Filton. This event follows the established route used for the JOGLE race and forms part of the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge Series. Specifically, it serves as Day 8 of the MTC Albion, a thirteen-day multi-stage challenge across England.
The route includes three designated checkpoints located at Longford, Whitminster, and Berkeley. These stations provide various food items such as sandwiches, malt loaf, cake, and fruit squash. Participants are required to maintain a minimum average speed of 4 mph throughout the duration of the race. Those who fall below this pace are subject to withdrawal to ensure safety and logistics management.
This is a cup-free event, meaning runners must carry their own reusable drinking vessels. Participants are also required to carry mandatory safety equipment, including a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, a compass or GPS device, a whistle, a mobile phone, and a basic first aid kit. The organizer provides a tracking device to each runner for real-time monitoring and emergency assistance.
