MTC Boggle
The MTC Boggle is a single-day ultra running event covering 39 miles. It forms Day 8 of the Mount to Coast ALBION thirteen-day end-to-end of England and follows the same route used in the MTC JOGLE event but with reduced daily distances. The route runs from The Tudor House Hotel to Travelodge Bristol Filton and includes three intermediate checkpoints on the route.
Entrant numbers are limited to 20 entries for the standalone Boggle plus an additional allowance of 20 for ALBION competitors, giving a maximum of 40 competitors on the day. The organiser enforces preset cut-off times based on a minimum average speed of 4.0 mph; competitors falling below this average may be warned and subsequently withdrawn if the condition persists.
All entrants must carry mandatory kit as specified by the organiser, including a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, route maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid and emergency food. Competitors receive a tracking device with real-time monitoring and an SOS function. Maps and GPX files are provided only to registered entrants prior to the event.
Entry fees are non-refundable. Standard and plus entry options are published, with the plus package including an embroidered race shirt and lightweight hi-viz jacket if ordered in advance. All finishers receive a Boggle medal and male and female champions receive bespoke trophies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
