MTC Boggle

Overview
The MTC Boggle is a single-day ultra running event scheduled for 20 July 2027. The route covers approximately 39 miles (route data lists 39.4 miles) and is presented as Day 8 of the Mount to Coast ALBION, a thirteen day end-to-end challenge of England. This is the first edition of the MTC Boggle. Entry is limited to 20 standard race places with an additional 20 places reserved for ALBION competitors, giving a maximum field of 40. All finishers receive a bespoke Boggle medal; male and female champions receive trophies. Entry options include a standard race fee of £90 and a Plus Race Package at £155 that includes an embroidered race shirt and a lightweight hi-viz jacket if purchased at least four weeks before the event. All payments and deposits are non-refundable; an optional personal cancellation insurance policy is available at booking.
Route and logistics
The route runs from the Tudor House Hotel through Tewkesbury and Whitminster, via Berkeley, finishing at Travelodge Bristol Filton. Checkpoints are sited at roughly 8.8 miles (Longford), 18.2 miles (Whitminster), and 28.5 miles (Berkeley) with a total climb of about 1,345 ft and descent of about 1,194 ft. Competitors must meet a minimum average speed of 4.0 mph or be withdrawn. The race is cup-free so runners must bring a reusable cup. Maps and GPX files are provided to entrants only and are emailed about four weeks before the event. Organisers issue tracking devices with real-time tracking and SOS capability. Mandatory kit includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, route maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid and emergency food.
