MTC Boggle : Mount to Coast Boggle
The MTC Boggle is a single-day ultra running event listed at 39 miles (route data totals 39.4 miles). The route follows the same course used by the organiser's JOGLE event and runs from Tewkesbury through to Bristol, starting at the Tudor House Hotel and finishing at Travelodge Bristol Filton. The race is organised as Day 8 of the Mount to Coast ALBION thirteen day end-to-end challenge and is part of the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge Series.
Entry is limited to 20 dedicated Boggle competitors plus an allowance of 20 ALBION entrants, giving a maximum field of 40. All entrants must carry mandatory kit provided by the organiser and may be refused start if kit is incomplete. Required items include a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, provided route maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid and emergency food, and a waterproof map case. The organiser provides competitor tracking devices with SOS capability.
Cut-off times are enforced on the course based on a minimum average speed of 4.0 mph; competitors who fall below this requirement will be withdrawn. Maps and GPX files are provided to entrants only and are emailed approximately four weeks before the event. The race is cup-free; competitors must use reusable cups. Entry fees are listed as £90 for the ultra and £155 for the plus race package, the latter including an embroidered race shirt and hi-viz jacket if ordered four weeks before the event.
