Hollywood Sign Run | Hike : event overview
The Hollywood Sign Run | Hike offers multiple trail distances through Griffith Park with an out and back course to the Hollywood Sign viewpoint. The event uses the fire road just north of the Old Zoo as the start and finish area and includes marked courses that pass views of the Griffith Observatory, Downtown Los Angeles, Glendale, the DreamWorks campus, and the Los Angeles River. The 8M course includes an up close view of the Hollywood Sign.

Terrain and services are described for each distance. The 8M is mostly trails with some asphalt and a recommendation to wear trail running shoes. Aid stations are placed along each course and include medical staff; porta‑potties are available at the start and finish. Timing uses chip timing and all finishers receive a finisher medal and a premium short sleeve t‑shirt by the guaranteed size deadline. Additional event services include free photos for the 8M, gear check, finish line fruit and refreshments, DJ and MC, and awards for overall and age division winners.
Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet Burbank on the listed pre race days, with limited race day pickup at the Old Zoo base. Parking near the Merry Go Round lot is limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
