Hollywood Sign Run | Hike : Griffith Park, Los Angeles
The Hollywood Sign Run | Hike is a multi-event trail run and hike held in Griffith Park near the Old Zoo picnic area and the Merry-Go-Round parking lot in Los Angeles. The event includes several distance options:
- 8M Hollywood Sign Run | Hike
- 8K Mt Hollywood 8K
- 5K Griffith Park 5K Trail Challenge
- 2.2K P-2.2K Kid Run
Course terrain and structure are described for each distance. The 8M course includes approximately 6 miles of trails and 2 miles of asphalt. The 8K course includes about 3.12 miles of trails and 1.9 miles of asphalt. The 5K is about 3.12 miles of trails. The kid run is entirely on trails.
On-course support and services are provided: marked out-and-back courses, multiple aid stations (mile-specific locations vary by distance), porta-potties at the start/finish, chip timing, volunteer support, gear check at the start area, finish-line fruit and snacks, and event music with a DJ and MC. Participants receive a premium short sleeve t-shirt (size deadline applies), a unique finisher’s medal, and event photos are available for the 8M with Mt. Lee and the Hollywood Sign views. Awards and sponsor prizes are given to overall and age-grade winners.
Packet pickup before race day is available at Fleet Feet Burbank, 1516 Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA. Parking near the site is limited; the nearest lot is the Merry-Go-Round parking area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
