About the race
SRUN Mountain Do Fernando de Noronha is a trail running event held on the archipelago of Fernando de Noronha, Pernambuco, within the Parque Nacional Marinho de Fernando de Noronha. The event offers two course options that traverse trails, bosques and beaches, providing coastal and island landscape variety along paths that run near the sea.
Distances:
- 21 km trail route with technical sections and supplied hydration
- 8 km shorter trail route across island terrain
The event includes an athlete kit with items such as a waterproof backpack, technical shirt, cap, bandana, finish towel, medal for finishers, race bib and timing chip, and athlete insurance. Organizers provide downloadable GPX files and a full regulation document. Recommendations note that a trail-running shoe with grip is advised, and athletes on the 21 km route are recommended to carry a hydration pack or belt despite on-course hydration being provided. The event page states the local average temperature is around 28°C and that entry to the island requires payment of the Taxa de Preservação Ambiental (TPA).
