Event Details
The Greater Madera Kiwanis Club organizes the Mother's Day Run, now in its 22nd year. The event takes place at Woodward Park in Fresno, California. The race uses a specific area within the park: the North East 12 Acres, located in the first parking lot upon entering from the Friant/Ft Washington entrance.
Distances
The event includes several race options:
- 10k Run
- 5k Run
- 2 Mile Run/Walk
- 1/4 Mile Kids Fun Run
- A Virtual Run option
Youth versions are available for the 10k, 5k, and 2-mile events.
Registration and Amenities
Adult registration includes a t-shirt, a finisher's medal, a pancake breakfast, and a carnation at the finish line. Youth registration pricing does not automatically include a shirt, but one can be added for an additional fee. All participants completing an event receive a finisher's medal. The 10k race is a 20-point event for the Central Valley Runner of the Year series.
Additional Information
The event is dog-friendly, welcoming leashed dogs. There is no charge for children under four years old in strollers. A pancake and sausage breakfast with coffee and chocolate milk is included for participants; additional breakfasts can be purchased. Packet pickup is available before the race at a local store and on race day at Woodward Park. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group.
