Mother's Day Classic - Woodgate
The Mother's Day Classic at Woodgate Community Park is a community run and walk event featuring a 5 km run and a 5 km walk along a flat out-and-back course on the Esplanade walkway. The route starts and finishes at Woodgate Memorial Community Park, heads north along the coastline and returns, offering beach and coastal views.
Event village and registration are located at the event tent, identified by pink decorations. Parking is available at the rear of the park and near the Woodgate Beach Club. Food and drink options listed for the day include a BBQ by WG Fishing Club, healthy smoothies by Feel Good Smoothies, and a coffee van by Brews on Wheels. Male, female and accessible toilets are located at the back of the park attached to the community hall, and accessible parking is provided. The course is pram and wheelchair friendly, with accessible toilets available.
This is a fun run and walk with no official run timing on the day. Additional activities on site include an on-the-day raffle and face painting. Dogs are allowed in all areas, including the course, and must be kept on leash. Registrations for this event have closed. Local supporters include Big Dog Australia Pty Ltd and Woody Gate Gourmets.
