About the race
The Mother's Day Classic at Bemm River is a community walk and run that starts and finishes at the Bemm River Hotel. The course follows a scenic route through the township, Luderick Park, along the waterfront to the jetty, then returns to the hotel. The route is mostly flat and described as suitable for walkers, runners, prams, and wheelchairs.
Available distances include:
- 7.5 km run or walk
- 3 km walk
- 1 km walk
Event facilities are located at the Bemm River Hotel and nearby Luderick Park. Parking is available locally at both sites. Public toilets are provided at the Bemm River Hotel, Luderick Park, and Dolly’s Garden. Food is available at the Bemm River Hotel. Participants are advised to bring their own water.
This event operates as a fun run and walk with no official race timing on the day. Dogs are allowed in all areas, including the course, and may be off leash.
