About the race
The Mother's Day Classic in Albury/Wodonga is a community walk and run held at Belvoir Park and Sumison Gardens to support lifesaving breast and ovarian cancer research. Registrations for this event have closed.
Course details describe three distances:
- 10 km following flat, flowing pathways that extend beyond the lake and include the Crossing Trail Loop and Lincoln Causeway.
- 5 km a scenic loop around the lake at Belvoir Park, completed as two laps.
- 2.5 km a scenic loop around the lake at Belvoir Park.
The Event Village and registration are located at the Belvoir Park playground and all distances finish at Belvoir Park. The venue is accessible and suitable for wheelchairs and prams. Facilities and event features include parking in and around Belvoir Park, coffee vans, BBQ and food vendors, public toilets on course, water refill stations, face painting, raffles, dragon boaters, and musicians. Participants are asked to bring their own water for the day. This event is organised as a fun run and walk with no official run timing on event day. Dogs are not permitted at this venue.
