Moranbah Australia Day Triathlon
The Moranbah Australia Day Triathlon takes place at the Greg Cruickshank Aquatic Centre in Moranbah on Thursday 26 January 2027 as part of local Australia Day celebrations. The event is presented as a free community triathlon and includes divisions for adults, teams and children.
Entry to the event is free. The first 100 registrations receive a free event singlet subject to available sizes. A free BBQ breakfast is available for participants and a presentation of winners is held after competitors finish.
Race formats and distances include:
- Long course triathlon (16+): 600m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run
- Long course aquabike (16+): 600m swim, 20km cycle
- Long course aquathon (16+): 600m swim, 5km run
- Long course duathlon (16+): 2.5km run, 22km cycle, 5km run
- Teams triathlon (12+): 600m swim, 22km cycle, 5km run
- Enticer triathlon (12+): 300m swim, 12km cycle, 2.5km run
- Mini Kids triathlon (7-12): 50m swim, 2km cycle, 500m run
- Mini Kids aquathon (7-12): 50m swim, 500m run
