Moranbah Australia Day Triathlon
This event is part of Moranbah’s Australia Day celebrations and takes place at the Greg Cruickshank Aquatic Centre, 20 Batchelor Parade, Moranbah QLD 4744. Entry is free and there is prize money in each category. The first 100 registrations receive a free event singlet if sizes are available. A free BBQ breakfast will be provided and a presentation of winners will occur after competitors finish.
The program includes multiple race formats and age categories to accommodate a range of participants. Distances and categories listed by the organiser include:
- Long course (16+): Triathlon - 600m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run
- Long course (16+): Aquabike - 600m swim, 20km cycle
- Long course (16+): Aquathon - 600m swim, 5km run
- Long course (16+): Duathlon - 2.5km run, 22km cycle, 5km run
- Teams (12+): Triathlon - 600m swim, 22km cycle, 5km run
- Enticer (12+): Triathlon - 300m swim, 12km cycle, 2.5km run
- Mini Kids (7 to 12): Triathlon - 50m swim, 2km cycle, 500m run
- Mini Kids (7 to 12): Aquathon - 50m swim, 500m run
