Moor Park 10 and More
The Moor Park 10 and More is an annual community event held at Merchant Taylors’ School in Rickmansworth. Celebrating its 25th year, the event features a variety of distances and formats set within the grounds of Merchant Taylors’ School, Moor Park Golf Course, and the Moor Park estate. The primary purpose of the gathering is to support the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre and the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre.
The 10 km run takes place on closed roads and is UKA-affiliated with official chip timing. In addition to the main run, the event offers a 5 km or 10 km walk known as the "March for Mount Vernon." There are also several junior fun runs available for different age groups:
- 10 km run and walk
- 5 km walk
- 3.9 km junior run (School years 8-10)
- 2.6 km junior run (School years 6-7)
- 1.3 km junior run (School years 3-5)
- 850 m junior run (School years 2 and under)
Participants in all categories receive a medal and a commemorative t-shirt while supplies last. The event location provides free parking for attendees within the school grounds. All profits generated from the registrations and charity places go directly toward the work of the East & North Herts Hospitals' Charity.
