Moonlight Chase, Eldridge IA
Moonlight Chase takes place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, on North 2nd Street in downtown Eldridge, Iowa. The event includes multiple running events for youth and adults held in the evening.
Distances offered include:
- 1/4 mile fun run - ages 6 and under
- 1 mile youth run or walk - ages 7 to 12
- 4 mile certified run
Race packets may be picked up at the Thrive Financial Building basement, 220 W. Davenport Street, Eldridge, IA 52748. Packet pick up is available on the day before the race and on race day; no packets are available after 8:30 PM on race day. Registrations received prior to June 26 will be guaranteed a race shirt.
The race finishes on North 2nd Street in downtown Eldridge. Free refreshments and a medical facility are available at the finish area. Race results will be posted at the event website. Local media coverage is provided in The North Scott Press.
Parking is available at North Scott High School, Sheridan Meadows Park, and nearby side streets. Because the event is held at night, special safety precautions apply. Wheelchair participants are allowed. Baby strollers, roller blades, bicycles, and pets are not permitted on the race course.
Awards are distributed by event and category. Medallions are given to all 1/4 mile participants. Trophies and age group medals are awarded in the youth and 4 mile events. Separate Athena and Clydesdale awards are provided for specified weight divisions. Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards.
