The Monument Valley Ultra takes place on February 28, 2026 in Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, Monument Valley, UT. The weekend includes four events:
- 50K Race
- Charity Bib - 50 K
- MV Half Marathon
- Wildcat 4-Mile
The race field is capped at 400 runners. Entry fees listed by the organizer include $120 for the 50K, $80 for the Half Marathon and $35 for the 4-Miler; a charity bib option for the 50K is shown at no cost with limited spots. Online registration is available through the race date. Packet pick-up is held at the Monument Valley Visitor Center on the day before the race and on race morning.
Courses and on-course support
Course mileage and segments are described with the majority of miles on singletrack trail, dirt roads and the Valley Drive. The Half Marathon follows Sentinel Mesa Trail, connects to the Wildcat Trail, runs on Valley Drive including the Marlboro Route and passes North Window, with an aid station near mile 9.95 and a finish just under 13.5 miles. The 50K shares early segments, visits Three Sisters Aid Station multiple times, includes an 11-mile out-and-back to Mitchell Mesa, a 7.80-mile Backcountry segment highlighting Totem Pole, Rain God Mesa, Sand Springs and The Cube, and a final segment back to the finish.
Aid stations are well stocked with fluids, gels and a variety of food items. Drop bags are allowed at Three Sisters Aid Station. This is a cup-less event; runners should plan to carry their own hydration. There are two cut-offs at Three Sisters Aid Station; runners who miss cut-offs may be directed to the finish line or transported. Pacers may join at Three Sisters after the Mitchell Mesa segment.
