Monte Rosa WalserWaeg by UTMB
Monte Rosa WalserWaeg by UTMB is a series of trail running races held in the Aosta Valley, based in Gressoney Saint Jean. The event takes place from 15 to 18 July 2027 and follows high mountain routes that link the areas around the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa. The routes pass through historic alpine villages and local communities and draw on routes used by mountaineers and alpine guides.
The programme includes multiple race distances and elevation profiles, listed below:
- 120 km 8200 m+ elevation
- 82 km 6300 m+ elevation
- 43 km 3100 m+ elevation
- 35 km 1800 m+ elevation
- 15 km 650 m+ elevation
- 9 km 600 m+ elevation
- 4 km (Becca Pink)
Several races are part of the UTMB World Series and have assigned Running Stones and race categories. The event also references roles for runners, supporters, volunteers, partners and press.
