About the race
The Mont-Aux-Sources Ultra Trail is a trail running event held in the Royal Natal National Park within the uKhahlamba Drakensberg World Heritage Site. The course runs with the Amphitheater as a prominent landscape feature. The event dates are 11 to 13 September 2026, with the race distances taking place on 12 September.

The event has a long history, first established in 1992, and is organized to provide a trail running experience in the Drakensberg mountains. Funds raised through the event support eco-tourism operations of the park and contribute to the Bearded Vulture Recovery Programme, a fund held by WILDTRUST for use by the park ecologist in work to protect Bearded Vultures in the Maloti-Drakensberg mountains.
