Monster Mad Dash 5K - Mountlake Terrace
The Monster Mad Dash is an annual community 5K event. The 18th edition is scheduled for October 3, 2026, and benefits children in the Edmonds School District. The event includes an in person 5K and a virtual runner option.
Entry fees are stated by age group: Adults 19+ $35, Youth 13-18 $20, Children 0-12 $10, Virtual runner $35. Prices increase to $40 on October 2. Packet pickup is scheduled for October 2 (details TBD) and on the day of the event, October 3.
Participants may form teams, wear costumes, and bring pets. The event includes a pet and participant costume contest with prizes and outdoor games. Race timing is handled through the Strava app. The published route reference is the 2025 5K route.
The event location is Lake Ballinger, 23000 Lakeview Dr, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043. Parking is available at Lake Ballinger and at the Mountlake Terrace Transit Center but is limited; a shuttle from the transit center is provided.
