Event Overview
Molly's Miles is a running and walking event held in Columbia, Missouri. The race serves as a memorial for Officer Molly Suzanne Thomas Bowden, the first officer from the Columbia Police department to be killed in the line of duty. Since its inception, the event has focused on supporting the surviving family members and coworkers of Missouri law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. All proceeds from the participation fees are donated to Missouri Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.).
Race Categories
Participants can choose from several event formats:
- 5k Run/Walk: A 3.1 mile course through the local area.
- 10k Run/Walk: A 6.2 mile course for participants seeking a longer distance.
- First Responder Challenge: A 5k team-based competition for law enforcement departments.
- Virtual Run: A 3.1 mile remote option for those unable to attend in person.
Team Competition
The First Responder Challenge allows teams of four coworkers from the same department to compete together.
