About the race
The Mojave Run the Runway 5K is a Halloween themed road race hosted by Mojave Fitness Center at Mojave Airport, located at 1247 Poole St, Mojave CA 93501. The course uses the airport runway and covers the standard 5K distance along a section of the historic runway that has accommodated military and aerospace aircraft.
The event is open to all ages. Children under 11 register free; youth ages 12 to 17 have a reduced registration fee and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The field is limited to 150 racers. Registration is non-refundable and the event is held rain or shine.
Race operations note that no timing chips are provided; a finishing timer clock will display results and the race clock will start with the first corral. Race packets and bibs are available at the fitness center on October 8 and 9 and also on race day starting at the fitness center. Restrooms are located inside the Mojave Fitness Center. Parking is available in the paved spaces south of the fitness center. Pets are not allowed. The fitness center offers classes and personal training options in advance of the event, and there are volunteer and sponsorship opportunities through the organizer.
