About the race
The Hyundai Mitja Marató Barcelona by Brooks is a half marathon held in Barcelona on 14 February 2027. The course distance is 21,097 kilometres, fully urban and certified by the FCA, RFEA and World Athletics. The event is coordinated by Institut Barcelona Esports (Ajuntament de Barcelona) with executive organisation by RPM Sports.
Entry rules and capacity are defined in the official regulation: participants must be 18 years or older on race day. The race had a contingent of 40,000 bibs; registrations close when that limit is reached or on 7 February 2027. Entry fees were staggered by registration window: 36€ (bib 1–1,000), 40€ (1,001–10,000) and 50€ (10,001–40,000). The organiser may close registrations earlier to guarantee safety and quality.
The start is organised by colour coded corrals; a Sub-Elite corral is available for athletes who meet specified performance marks in official competitions. There are specific competitive categories and three sport disability categories: wheelchair, visual impairment and intellectual disability. Bibs and single use timing chips are collected in person at the Expo Sports during the days before the race; chips must be returned after the race or a sanction may apply.
Medical services and aid stations are deployed along the course, with liquid supplies around kilometres 5, 10, 15 and 17.5 and both liquid and solid supplies at the finish.
