About the race
La Hyundai Mitja Marató Barcelona by Brooks is a half marathon held in Barcelona on 14 February 2027. The race covers a certified distance of 21.097 kilometres on an entirely urban course; the measurement is validated by the FCA, RFEA and World Athletics. The event is coordinated by Institut Barcelona Esports (Ajuntament de Barcelona) with executive organisation by RPM Sports. Title and main sponsors include Hyundai and Brooks.
Registration is limited to a contingent of 40,000 bibs. Price bands published for entries are: 1 to 1,000 : 36€; 1,001 to 10,000 : 40€; 10,001 to 40,000 : 50€. Only participants aged 18 or over on race day may take part.
The race uses structured start corrals identified by colour; there is a reserved sub-elite corral for athletes who can prove qualifying marks. Bibs and single-use timing chips are collected in person at the Expo Sports in the days before the race; bibs are not issued on race day. The event includes medical services along the route and at start and finish, water stations around kilometres 5, 10, 15 and 17.5, and final liquid and solid supplies at the finish. Medical teams may withdraw participants for health reasons.
The competition is governed by official judges from the RFEA and FCA and includes anti-doping controls. Participants must provide emergency contact and medical information on the back of the bib.
