Mississippi River Marathon
The Mississippi River Marathon takes place on February 7, 2026, between Lake Village, AR and Greenville, MS. The event base and packet pickup location is the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center, 323 S. Main St., Greenville. Offered race formats include a full marathon, half marathon, half marathon relay, the Delta Double Down (Arkansas half plus Mississippi half), and a 5K, with a youth 5K for ages 18 and under that is free. All finishers receive a finisher medal; the Delta Double Down awards two medals.
Race details
The marathon course is USATF certified (MS16003MS) and is a Boston Marathon qualifier. Course support includes multiple aid stations at specified mile markers and GU stations at miles 7, 13, and 20. Bag check is available for marathon and half marathon participants. The event uses a 7-hour course cut-off; full marathoners are advised to maintain a roughly 15-minute-per-mile pace to remain within race support. Post-race provisions listed by the organizer include pizza, Shipley’s donuts, and Doe’s Hot Tamales, plus unlimited free race photo downloads. Awards are offered for the full and half marathons by overall place, masters (40+), grand masters (50+), and age groups; relay and 5K divisions also have placement awards. A cash bonus of $500 is offered for male or female athletes who break the marathon course record.
