Mississippi River Marathon : Greenville, MS
The Mississippi River Marathon is a multi-distance running event held on February 7, 2026, with race activity between Lake Village, AR and Greenville, MS. The event includes these options:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- Half Marathon Relay
- Delta Double Down (Arkansas half then Mississippi half)
- 5K and a youth 5K
The marathon course is USATF certified and accepted as a Boston Marathon qualifier. Aid stations are positioned at multiple mile markers along the course, with GU supplied specifically at miles 7, 13, and 20. Bag check is available for marathon and half marathon participants. All finishers receive a finisher medal, with two medals awarded for Delta Double Down entries.
A vendor expo and packet pickup take place the day before, with expo hours from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Unlimited free race photo downloads are provided and post-race food and beverages are available, including pizza, Shipley’s donuts, and Doe’s Hot Tamales. The event enforces staged closures of aid stations and traffic control as the day progresses; the marathon has a 7-hour course cut-off and organizers note full marathoners should maintain about a 15-minute-per-mile pace to use full race support.
Awards are offered for marathon and half marathon overall, age groups, masters and grand masters, plus relay divisions; a $500 cash bonus is available for any athlete who breaks a marathon course record. Proceeds support local education foundations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
