Mississippi Blues Marathon : 2026 event
The 19th edition of the Mississippi Blues Marathon is scheduled for February 21, 2026 in Jackson, Mississippi. The event’s start and finish are based at Jackson State University Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium, 2531 North State Street. The start area is outside the football field and the finish line is on the stadium 50 yard line. The event honors Mississippi blues heritage and includes on-course and finish-line photography provided by Marathon Photos Live.
Race formats, registration and athlete services
The event offers the following race formats:

- BB Kids Mini Marathon (Half Mile Fun Run)
Packet pickup and in-person registration are set for the day before the race at Buffalo Peak Outfitters in Highland Village Shopping Center and for race day at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Entry fees are listed per event (for example, marathon $100; half $90; 10K $45; 5K $45; relay $240; virtual $40–$60; kids $20). Registered marathon runners receive a long sleeve quarter zip; half, 10K, 5K and relay participants receive technical shirts. All finishers receive a 4" finisher medal and commemorative tote. Post-race provisions include food, fresh fruit, drinks and cupcakes; beer is provided for athletes over age 21. An awards presentation will follow at the stadium with gold, silver and bronze awards.
