The Miss Winkles Fast & Furriest is the second annual 5k / 2 mile event held on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The event supports the pets at Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center and takes place along the Clovis Trail, starting from the California Health Sciences University parking lot at 120 N Clovis Ave, Clovis, CA 93612. Dogs are permitted if on a leash or secured in a stroller or backpack. The course is primarily on paved asphalt.
- 5k - chip-timed competitive race
- 2 mile - non-timed walk
- Virtual 5k - complete anywhere; includes shirt and finisher medal
Amenities and logistics
Participants receive a performance technical shirt (Men's and Women's sizes S–XL), a finisher’s medal for 5k and 2 mile participants, and post-race snacks. Additional items include chip timing for 5k entrants, age group awards for timed 5k participants, free professional photo downloads, and a dog bandana for dog participants. To guarantee shirt size availability, registration by March 1 is recommended. Packet pickup is available Friday, April 17 at Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center, 85 Temperance Ave, Clovis, CA 93611, and on race day at the event location. Sponsors include Fleet Feet Fresno.
