Mines to Pines Trail Races
Mines to Pines takes place at Tiny Trails Campground in Minto, New Brunswick, on July 25 and 26. It succeeds the Dark 50 (retired after the 2025 season) and introduces a reimagined course on the Mountain Bike Minto trail network.
All laps start and finish around the campfire at Tiny Trails Campground. The route follows a wooded ATV trail to a singletrack that winds through land shaped by historic strip and pit coal mines and natural forces. The course includes roots and rocks, lakeside views in old mine cuts, sharp punchy hills, and open stretches for speed. Trails are clearly marked.
Race distances:
- 10 km (solo)
- 50 km (solo)
- 60 km (relay, teams of 2 or 3)
Registration includes aid station access (one aid station at Tiny Trails plus one water drop), crew access, a marked course, a three-day trail pass to Mountain Bike Minto trails, a registration gift (details TBA), and shower and washroom access at Tiny Trails. A regionally sourced Sunday breakfast is available as an optional extra. Bib transfers are permitted; the event has published refund and deferral policies, and the race is free for members of Wolastoqey/Wəlastəkwey communities.
