Miner 49er - Dubuque, IA
The Miner 49er is scheduled for November 7, 2026, in the Mines of Spain park near Dubuque, Iowa, at 8991 Bellevue Heights Rd. The event offers two trail distances:
- 50K
- 25K
The course uses mostly single-track with some double-track and prairie trail. Runners will pass views of the Julien Dubuque Monument, Horseshoe Bluff, and the Mississippi River. The 25K is an out-and-back with approximately 2200 feet of elevation gain. The 50K completes that loop twice for about 4400 feet of elevation gain. Terrain includes stone steps, stream crossings, and rocks and roots.
There are three aid stations stocked with standard ultra-event nutrition. Because the race takes place in a public park, other trail users may be present. The cut off for both events is 5pm.
Logistics: packet pickup is at the EB Lyons Interpretive Center, 8991 Bellevue Heights Rd, on Friday, November 6 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm and Saturday morning from 7:00 am to 7:45 am. No same-day registration is available. Pacers are not allowed. Registration closes October 28 at 11:59 pm CT. Race registration fees are not refundable and are not transferable. Distance changes require confirmation with the race director before the race begins; switching from 25K to 50K requires payment of the price difference.
