Millie's Princess Run
Millie’s Princess Run is an annual community fundraiser centered on a 5K event that supports local families facing pediatric cancer. Each year the event sponsors two children known as the Prince and Princess, and the organizer states that 100% of funds raised go directly to those families to help cover treatment-related costs.
The event offers multiple participation options:
- 5K all ages
- 2K fun walk/run
- Virtual runner with medal and bib shipped
- Virtual runner without race packet
Every registered runner receives a finisher's medal featuring Millie’s original artwork. Costumes such as tutus, princess dresses, crowns, and superhero outfits are encouraged. The event includes an opening ceremony with the honored royalty and a group photo opportunity.
The race day also functions as a family festival. On a grass field there are bounce houses, face painting, mascots, nerf gun activities, a ropes course, a zip line, a petting zoo, and food trucks. A silent auction and a car show are part of the program. A carnival wristband grants access to the extra activities but does not include food truck purchases; visiting characters, the silent auction, and yard games do not require a wristband.
Packet pick up is available the day before and there is same-day registration and packet pick up at the venue. Volunteers and sponsors run the event, and proceeds are directed to the sponsored families. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
