Event details

The Mill Towns Race Series in Dundas, Minnesota offers a marathon, a half marathon and a 10K. All distances are chip-timed. Races start and finish in Memorial Park (1st Street South, Dundas, MN 55019). The marathon is a Boston-qualifying, USATF-certified course (MN24023MAB). The event is hosted by Your Pace or Mine Running Club, a Road Runners Club of America member club and affiliate nonprofit.

Course and logistics

The course is a tree-lined, looping route along paved trails on both sides of the Cannon River between Dundas and Northfield. The route is flat with an elevation gain of 107 ft. Loop structure:

  • Marathon - four loops
  • Half marathon - two loops
  • 10K - one loop (slightly shorter 10K course)

There are water stops at miles 2 and 4 and in Memorial Park (mile 6.5 on the half and marathon). Water and Gatorade lemon-lime will be served in cups; LMNT electrolyte packets will be available for mixing in personal bottles. Runners may refill hydration bottles on course and are asked to carry their own nutrition or gels. Porta-potties and bathrooms are located in Memorial Park and at several points along the route. Runners must pass the last aid station by 1:30 PM.

Charity and fundraising

The event supports Project Purple, which funds pancreatic cancer research and patient aid. A fundraising option is offered during registration; raising $250 can waive the entry fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
