Miles in the Maize

Miles in the Maize takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Colony Acres, 1150 South Front Street, North Liberty, Iowa. The event offers an off-road 5K and a one mile Maize Mile that run through farm features such as a corn maze and a pumpkin patch, providing fall Iowa scenery along the course.

The event program includes costume awards and Maize Mile awards presented before the 5K, and a brief awards ceremony at the conclusion of the 5K for overall and age group winners. The Maize Mile course includes a turnaround that returns toward the start/finish along a yellow marked path.

Organizers partner with Corridor/Eastern Iowa Let Me Run and Girls on the Run. Proceeds from the race are donated to those programs, and participants may designate donations online or in person. Packet pickup is scheduled at Fitness Sports in North Liberty on 11/7, with race day pickup at Colony Acres. Shirts are not guaranteed for registrations completed after October 25.
