Event
The Miles in the Maize is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Colony Acres, 1150 South Front St., North Liberty, IA 52317. The event offers the following distances:
- 5K
- Maize Mile
- 5K & Maize Mile (both)
Course and awards
The event uses an off-road course that weaves around a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, and seasonal fall Iowa scenery. Costume awards will be voted on and presented, and Maize Mile awards are presented before the 5K. A brief post-race awards ceremony will recognize overall and age-group winners after the 5K.
Registration and logistics
Standard entry fees listed on the event page are $30 for the 5K, $15 for the Maize Mile, and $40 for the combined 5K & Maize Mile; prices increase after September 6, 2026. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Fitness Sports in North Liberty and race day pickup will be at Colony Acres. Race day registrations, both online and in person, are permitted until shortly before the event. Shirts are not guaranteed for registrations made after October 25, 2026. Proceeds from the race will be donated to the Corridor/Eastern Iowa Let Me Run and Girls on the Run organizations, and donors can designate which program receives their donation.
