About the race
Miles for Mercy is organized by Legacy Church of Plano and takes place on December 5, 2026, at Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve, 5901 Los Rios Boulevard, Plano, TX 75074. The event offers two course options and is presented as a family-friendly community activity.
Available distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Registration fees are listed as $15 per individual and $10 per person for qualifying Family/Team/Group registrations of four or more. Groups can be created by the first registrant, who chooses a group name; additional members may join that group in separate transactions. If a group does not reach four registered participants before the event, members may be charged the $5 difference to match the individual rate.
Participants may make an optional additional donation during registration to benefit Legacy Church's Uganda Mission Partners. Suggested donation amounts include $10, $25, $50, and $100. Donations are separate from registration fees and may be made even by those who do not participate in the event.
Packet pickup details and additional race information will be announced as the event approaches. Race day check-in and packet pickup will also be available at Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve. Award information for the 5K will be provided later; the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is described as non-competitive and focused on participation and community.
