Wizz Air Milano Marathon 2027
The Wizz Air Milano Marathon returns on 4 April 2027 as a city running festival that annually involves more than 40,000 people, including marathon runners, relay teams, families and spectators. The event includes the marathon, a relay race, a Family Run and a Dog Run.
The marathon covers 42,195 km through central Milan and is described by the organiser as the fastest marathon in Italy. The route crosses several of the city’s iconic places. Along the course the city hosts cheering points, DJ sets and public support for participants.
The event includes a structured Charity Program active since 2012. The programme involves around 140 organisations, has raised over €11,000,000 in total and recorded donations exceeding €3,167,000 in 2026. Runners can participate in the marathon or the Relay Marathon to support registered charities.
The Family Run is scheduled the day before the marathon. It is organised with OPES, is the evolution of the School Marathon and has involved over 62,000 participants in total, with more than 10,000 in the 2026 edition. The Family Run follows a 4 km route mainly inside CityLife, starting in via Arona near the Velodrome and finishing inside the Velodrome Maspes-Vigorelli in the Family Run Village.
