Miguel Reyes Elite/Fun 5K Run/Walk
The event takes place at Woodward Park, Mountain View Shelter in Fresno, California on July 25, 2026. It is organized as a 5K run and walk with separate competitive divisions and multiple kids races.
Distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 400 m for ages 7 to 10
- 200 m for ages 5 to 6
- 100 m for ages 3 to 4
- 50 m for ages 1 to 2
- 10 m for under 1 year
Divisions include open/elite fields, age-group categories, student divisions, an Athena category for women over 185 pounds, and a Clydesdale category for men over 225 pounds. The course is CIF high school cross country certified and the event uses chip timing. Race amenities listed by the organizer include a Dri-FIT singlet, unique medals, complimentary tacos and aguas frescas, music and raffles. A pint glass is available for registrations by July 5.
Cash awards exceed $18,000 across overall, masters, grand masters and senior categories. Team prizes are listed, and bonuses include a mile-mark prize, course record bonuses and time-based bonuses. Top overall finishers are excluded from age group awards. Kids receive medals, a shirt and tacos, and trophies go to the top three boys and girls in each kids race.
